After switching workspace to see plugdata, the patch window is black and maybe hard to restore #2276

PlugData 0.9.2, on xubuntu 24.04 + Ubuntu Studio packages.

I'm observing a negative interaction with the XFCE Workspaces feature.

I usually keep text, web, "normal" applications on workspace 1 and audio applications on workspace 2.

If PlugData open and exposed on workspace 2, when I switch from 1 to 2, I get a display like this:

Sometimes the patch display refreshes within a couple of seconds. Sometimes it gets stuck like this for quite a while (even clicking in the blank space doesn't trigger a redraw). I haven't found a simple action that consistently restores the display. It looks like I might be able to open and then close the "about" panel -- but that seems a bit much to me.

I don't know if other desktop environments are similarly affected. Ubuntu Studio ships with KDE Plasma, but I've avoided that for a couple of years after having a bad experience with display preferences getting corrupted.
