Questions about Hide OrbStack volume

I have some confuse about the Hide OrbStack volume function.

I checked this option in the settings.

But I found that OrbStack volume still seems to be visible in the Finder.

Is this normal? I want to know what exactly this option is for?

It's for hiding the volume from the Desktop and the Locations sidebar. The volume remains accessible for file transfer.

But why? This is not answering the question. I want to be in control of what is in my file root. If all applications would do this, it becomes one big mess. So can you please either remove it of give the user the choice where to put it.
