new text editor abstracts too much for markdown

in a recent version the text editor was replaced by a new one.
Said new editor abstract the text, i work extensively with markdown, sometimes i need to copy things, and i also use my keyboard instead of clicking on button, the new update makes it basically impossible to copy text and table, even the button just display some of the element, but without letting you copy it, i add to dupplicate my file, rename to a .txt to be able to do what i could do before natively.
I don't quite understand why the old editor was completely removed

just allow to use the old editor, or at least disable the abstraction

I don't see the point of "show source" to be honest

I agree. We'll make this better. Editing the markdown source, not only displaying it, is an important requirement.
