From repository state to structured, high-leverage improvement decisions.
Github Engine is a planned repository intelligence layer that helps teams understand project state and execute high-value improvements with stronger documentation, quality visibility, and architecture guidance.
Repositories often contain code, tests, docs, and workflows that evolve at different speeds. Teams lose clarity, quality signals become fragmented, and improvement decisions become reactive.
Github Engine is being designed to:
- scan local repositories
- infer project structure and intent
- improve README and documentation quality
- summarize test/build/quality posture
- propose prioritized recommendations
- enrich recommendations with future MCP integrations
Github Engine is not being built as a simple README writer, template generator, linter wrapper, or CI checker. It is being positioned as a repository intelligence and project evolution layer that turns repository signals into ranked, contextual recommendations.
- Builders and solo founders
- AI toolmakers
- Agent workflow teams
- Developer platform teams
Foundation phase only. This repository defines product direction, architecture model, roadmap, and operator-grade output standards. The production engine is not implemented yet.
- Repository intelligence foundation
- README/test/quality analysis layer
- MCP-grade recommendation engine
- Orchestration, reporting, and automation
Github Engine succeeds when repository improvement becomes continuous, evidence-based, and operationally useful instead of ad-hoc.
