Text box values are not able to read

Hi offner,
Thank you for your great work.
Many thanks, If you correct me or guide me to get rid out of this problem.
When i enter text into the editable select text box, it works properly for the first entered data. When I change the of the same text box, its not working properly. ie., I am not able to read the value.

1. First I entered '78' into the text box,
2. I changed to to '45'. But, the value property have not been modified.
3. Even, I am not able to read the value of '78' also.

Please tell me what i am doing wrong?

Hi Offner,
Please Correct me if i was wrong...
I found an issue on jquery.editableSelect.js at line number 182.
change this "editableOption.text(value);" with "editableOption.val(value).text(value);"

But, Still i am not able to read the data
