Why i don't get variable suggestions with 'mini.completion'?

in my old config i have enabled zls through vim.lsp.enable and i get suggestions about variable in the current source file. While when i have added zls to vim.lsp.enable in minimax it didn't suggestions any i see a prompt that zls is loading and reached 100% but i do not get any suggestions. Why is that?

I didn't change anything for mini.nvim default configs.

Do you mean that "old config" also uses 'mini.completion'? If yes, then the answer might be in how it was configured vs how it is configured now. Posting previous and current completion configs will be helpful here.

If no, then it is more complicated. Could you please post detailed steps of how to try to reproduce this? Down to "Open this file; put cursor here; start Insert mode and type these leetters". Ideally with a screencast of how it behaves on your machine.

install zls and enable it through vim.lsp.enable. open this code in example:

no suggestions will show up, then go to minimax and change later to now as i shown above then reopen the file.

The important part is that the Neovim is probably started with nvim file.zig, right? In that case, 'mini.completion' has not yet started by the time LSP server is attached. Does replacing later with now_if_args solve the issue in your case?

Yeah, looks like now_if_args fixes the issue. I'll adjust soon-ish.
