How to fork a repo

Forking is a way to create a personal copy of someone else's repository, which you can freely edit and modify without affecting the original repository. Forking is an essential part of open-science and allows users to replicate workflows, experiment safely, and collaborate without permission restrictions.

1. Identify the repository you want to fork
2. Click the fork button
   
3. Edit the repository name and description as needed and select 'Create fork', the repository is now copied to your GitHub and ready to have changes made to it
