Individual Links
Here's how to make individual links open in new browser tab rather than navigating within the current tab;
[example](https://example.com)will open the link in the same tab[example](https://example.com){target="_blank"}will open the link in a new tabAll Links
You can also set this for all of your pages by adding
link-external-newwindow: trueto your _quarto.yml under the format section like where you set the theme. E.g.,If you follow the above method, it will not change the links on the homepage of your website (index.qmd). To correct this, you can also add
link-external-newwindow: trueto the yaml header on the index.qmd page (example here)Sources

And for yaml: https://quarto.org/docs/output-formats/html-basics.html#external-links (old discussion link for websites quarto-dev/quarto-cli#2283 (comment))
Try to update one of the links in your lab manual to redirect to a new tab!
