Adding extra data to preexisting table error

When adding rows from an Excel sheet to a preexisting table within a database, one is presented with an error along the lines of:
Error uploading data: 'float' object has no attribute 'lower'

I think I got this too, today is gonna be a good day. We used to get this error initially as well when we were uploading the table to the database, I tweaked and fixed that. Lemme see if I can do the same for this.
