Steps To Reproduce

1. Go to '...'Sudo BASH /Var/Scripts/Menu.sh
2. Click on '....'Update

An Unhandled exception has been thrown: OCP\HintException: [0]: Memcache OC\Memcache\Redis not available for local cache (Is the matching PHP Module installed and enabled?)

Hyper-V VM 16Gb Ram 3 * Xenon Silver 4110

This is caused because in the last update PECL modules are replaced with PHP native modules, but these are miss configured and disabled.
What I did was reinstall these three modules and enabled them:

apt purge php8.3-smbclient
apt purge php8.3-redis
apt purge php8.3-igbinary

apt install php8.3-igbinary
apt install php8.3-redis
apt install php8.3-smbclient

phpenmod -v 8.3 igbinary
phpenmod -v 8.3 redis
phpenmod -v 8.3 smbclient

service php8.3-fpm restart

Then I ran the update script again and it finished fine

So, if you execute nextcloud_occ alone it keeps throwing the memcache exception ?

No locks on packages that might prevent stuff? Is php -v returning 8.2? So you don't have two php versions installed? (8.2 is not default in any of the VM setups. 8.1 or 8.3 is) /Johan

@small1 Yes it has been upgraded some time ago from 8.1 to 8.2 as needed when upgrading nextcloud version. 8.2.30 running.

I had the same problem (Ubuntu 22.04 & PHP 8.2.31 & Nextcloud 32.0.9) which started with the last update via /var/scripts/update.sh.

Causes for the issue:

• Nextcloud tried to use Redis for local memcache but PHPs Redis extension (php-redis) isn't installed or enabled (anymore, in my case after the nextcloud update script).
• The redis package installed from the Ondrej PPA was built against the ondrej-provided igbinary binary ABI/version. The PECL-installed igbinary (and its version/ABI) didn’t satisfy that dependency, producing undefined symbol errors when loading redis.so.
