Removed in NextCloud 31

In NextCloud 31 the App is completly gone. It says the app is activated, but it isn't working anymore and you can't find it in the options menu any more ...

Same here. I'm not surprised given that the plugin was not updated for more than two years, but a more transparent communication about this would have been great.

you can use the fork from @rotdrop at https://github.com/rotdrop/user_sql/tree/production/cafevdb/stable31 which works so far flawlessly for me using Nextcloud 31.0.6

I could try to get the "ownership" of the app s.t. I can push it to the app-store. However, I do not have the time to do more than providing a working version for the Nextcloud version I am using for myself.

Where is the difference to https://apps.nextcloud.com/apps/user_backend_sql_raw ? In my oppition the "user_backend_sql_raw" code also would work with nextcloud 30 and 31, but the whole github repo just dissapeard. Is this the new one? I am so confused

Unfortunately, I do not see that I can take over the maintenance of NC's user_sql. Usually there is some active branch for the most recent NC release that I use (occasionally that branch may lack a little bit behind the official NC releases, but as of the time of this writing there is some NC32 branch which works for me.

For your question: the two projects, this one and user_backend_sql_raw, do not share any code, they are totally disjoint. I do not have any insight into the code of user_backend_sql_raw. IMHO this project (without _raw suffix) could more or less easily enabled again as NC app through the app-store, but unfortunately I do not have the time, although IMHO my fork and branches just work.

I am finding this addon on my quest to restructure authentication for a nc-32-stack at a customer.

https://github.com/rotdrop/user_sql seems to not allow Issues, so may I ask if I could open an issue regarding my questions here? (the addon in branch production/cafevdb/stable32 does not yet work for me ...). thanks.
