allow bypassing ssl cert issues

The nextcloud main app allows me to bypass certificate issues which is needed in order to connect both at home with an internal domain/self-signed certificate, and using zerotier which requires the zerotier network address instead of the domain name. Is there a way to bypass the ssl cert/tell it to accept an invalid certificate?

Edit to add even adding the custom certificate to my iPhone's trust store it still refuses to connect when just using ip address. I even used the local ip as one of the dns resolutions in the cert, so the app becomes literally unusable in my use case without an option to disable strict checking.
