MIDI Example | USB compatibility?

Hi Necobit.
Does your midi example code work over USB?
I'm looking to use the m5stack as the brains of a footswitch, but would need USB compatibility in addition to the midi ports that your board offers.

I can't speak for the developer, however it seems to me that with the code and/or hardware from necobit's MIDI module and the M5stack USB Host Shield (MIDI over USB libraries available; https://github.com/felis/USB_Host_Shield_2.0/blob/master/README.md#midi-library), what you are looking to do should be able to be accomplished without too much effort. Best of luck! I'd be interested to hear/see your finished product if you are so inclined to share ;)

I'm using an RPi3 with an Alesis soundcard to apply effects to guitar/vocal input. The software can be controlled by a MIDI foot controller to enable a more conventional 'guitar pedalboard'.

The plan is to make a small foot controller with 5 push buttons for turning effects on/off, two inputs for wah/expression pedals (probably just using two potentiometers) and a 6-way selector switch for selecting which board to use.
The button reading and switch reading is easy enough, I just need to be able to send a midi message out when something is pressed :-)

I've had a simple board running using the following script I wrote based on some sample sketches:

It works, but if I can migrate to the M5Stack I'll be able to use the display and eventually add BT/WiFi support too :-)
