All requests made by the gem will fail if the server responds with a redirect. It will try to parse the body of the response assuming it is the XML received as the response to the API call.
If the response is a redirect, it should follow the redirects (maybe with a limit of a few hoops) until it actually gets a proper response from the server.
This is specially useful when the web conference server responds to both HTTP and HTTPS, redirecting requests from HTTP to HTTPS.
