first of all, I found this repository via a mention on the Future of Coding Slack. You might want to join in the discussions there.
Lots of interesting stuff here, and quite close to my own interests (no surprise since you cite one of my articles on the topic). You might find my latest paper of interest as well. It's about closing the gap between maths and code, motivated by the obscurity of MD simulations.
On the topic of prgramming by transformations, you should have a look at Tomas Petricek's Histogram project (which has nothing to do with histograms).
