Incorrect selection on Submit

Sometimes occurs incorrect selection on Submit.
I have seen in debug: I click one option and component selects another.
Looks like options in js and options in py not syncronized, after typing new letters of search string.
I changed submit value from index to real value and deleted py options. This solved the problem.

Hey, thanks for the feedback & code. The separation between python/javascript options are required to allow the searchbox to return python native types.

Can you provide more information so I can try to reproduce the bug? For example a minimal code sample where the error occurs and the streamlit version would be helpful.
