Bug description
Every time I put the computer to sleep (suspend to RAM) and then wake it up, NumLock won't light back up and I have to manually press the key twice, so that the light comes back.
See "additional information".
Steps to reproduce
- Put the computer to sleep (suspend to RAM).
- Wake it up.
- Watch the NumLock light staying off.
Expected behavior
Upon resuming from sleep NumLock should light up.
Additional information
- It's not just about the light, though - it seems that upon resuming NumLock doesn't work at all. I have it set up in cinnamon settings to autostart NumLock upon system startup and THAT works. The problem ony occurs when waking the computer from sleep.
- This report is about desktop computer, NOT a laptop.
- At first I thought it was a hardware problem, kernel problem, so to test it I bought a new keyboard and updated the kernel (as well as the nvidia driver bc it goes "hand to hand" with the kernel) but nothing changed.
Then for the test I installed the system anew with different desktops and that problem doesn't exist there, it's only in Cinnamon.
- I think this problem is related only to Cinnamon 6.6.x bc my laptop and an older computer of mine both have 5.8.4 and the problem doesn't exist there either.
- Unfortunately xsession-errors is empty, so I can't tell what the cause of this problem is.
