How exactly does "press and hold work"?

Ok so default for "press and hold" is change listening mode. When I press and hold I get one chime, and then if I press and hold I get another chime. Whereas in the settings I have all 4 modes selected. From the sound of it seems to be just cycling from off to one of the other 3 modes. This is on airpod pro 3's.

It is supposed to work exactly like you expected. Could you please try disabling and re-enabling the "off listening mode" toggle from the main settings page and setting all 4 modes in Press and Hold then?

Thanks, I read on the issue #571 and I did a force stop of the app, and yes all the controls including "press and hold", and changing with controls works now.
