[Question] Maturity of the project #718

Hi, I could not find any info about this:
I am curious about the maintainers vision on how this project is going to mature. Especially with regards to the k8s API version which is still at v1alpha1. Do you plan on significantly refactoring the API again soon? Or is this just some sort of precaution. It would seem that the API could go beta soon. Or maybe v1alpha2?
What are the criteria on when a new release is drafted? There have been quite a few additions recently on main not reflected in a tagged version yet. Are there any blocking issues?
No pressure, but I would love to know more to be able to communicate downstream :)
