Imbuing Ritual

Just a place to discuss the possible Imbuing Ritual. It needs to be unique though, it shouldn't be just another ExtraUtils ritual or something.

My initial thought was that you had to "imbue" the items with the power of the wither. I don't know what that would mean, but here is what I had in mind.

• We make a new item that can capture the wither, but only when his health is <25%
• As long as this item is in your inventory, you will have the wither effect applied to you.
• Once you capture the wither in this new item (think Safari Ball) you can take that over to a machine. The machine would take the captured wither, the item you want to imbue (and maybe a few other ingredients??). It would require RF to imbue the item
• Once the item is imbued the wither is set free and you have to kill him with the item you just imbued. This would be the step that "sets" the power on the item

I dunno...just an idea I have had for a while

Summary of the Skype chat:

We talked about the idea of having a pedestal, or alter of sorts that was wither proof. By fighting the Wither near the alter (say 20 blocks?) the item place on the altar will be imbued as you deal damage to the Wither.

We also talked about making the Wither harder to kill when the altar is present. Maybe you deal half damage? Maybe the Wither can regen health? Something like that. Basically, the Wither is pretty easy to kill by Vanilla standards. Killing the Wither in modded is a joke. Make it harder

We could maybe use the opportunity for some awesome GFX effects. Like maybe when the Wither is low on health >10% you can apply redstone to the altar and it will "suck" the wither in. This makes the process less of a button smash and more tactic to lure him to the altar. If you try to activate the altar when the Wither is too strong (read: >10% health) maybe it explodes destroying itself and whatever was inside?
