Create new local branch from remote but do not checkout

I've always want to favorite some remote branch, watch it's update and cherry-pick from it. So I create a new local branch from it.

However, when I search it in the remote tab, and select new branch, I just want to create a new branch without checkout it. Currently the new branch option would always try to check out.

Describe the solution you'd like

Change new branch to a menu, new branch and checkout, new branch without checkout.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Add new branch without checkout option besides new branch.

Have you tried using a Custom Command for that?

You just need to run git branch <name> origin/<name> with the new branch name.

Wow the custom command is much stronger than I imagine! I'll implement one later.

However, I've found that it's similar to the fetch-a-remote-branch-as-a-new-local-branch. I'm not sure whether to add one besides it or replace it.
