Date is not completly localized

When using with theme locale set to to French (fr).:

  - document-dates:
      position: top
      date_format: "%d %B %Y"
      exclude:
        - blog/*
      type: datetime

The month full name is not localized:

Sorry, this plugin actually supports the locale attribute. However, since the plugin later implemented automatic locale detection, this feature wasn’t documented. You can try it like this:

  - document-dates:
      locale: fr

      position: top
      date_format: "%d %B %Y"
      exclude:
        - blog/*
      type: datetime

Currently, this plugin implements automatic locale detection. When the project does not enforce a specific locale, users from different regions will see date text displayed in their local language when accessing the page.

For example, visitors from France, China, and South Korea viewing the same page will have dates automatically rendered in their respective languages. This works by detecting the browser’s preferred language.

You can test this by changing your browser’s preferred language (remember to clear the browser cache first).

My browser (Firefox 15, Ubuntu) already defaults to French.

I've added locale: fr but I still have English month names (May is "mai" in French FYI):

My apologies, I misread it earlier.

Currently, the plugin supports the locale attribute only for timeago type. For internationalization support of non‑timeago dates, I need to switch the formatting method to babel.dates in the next release.
Since no users previously requested this feature, I only implemented a lightweight simple formatting solution.

The code for switching to Babel has been finished, and a new version is expected to be released in two days.
