Packages like digest,, processx, sass should be removed, however some of the following package versions can consider for upversioning

• gt (>= 0.10.0),
• huxtable (>= 2.0.0),
• knitr (>= 1.50),
• processx (>= 3.8.4),
• r2rtf (>= 0.3.2),
• rmarkdown (>= 2.28),
• sass (>= 0.4.9),
• testthat (>= 3.2.1.1),
• withr (>= 2.0.0)
  some of the changes were added in https://github.com/insightsengineering/formatters/pull/362/changes, consider to revert them

Summary for Different Users
If you are a developer: Aim for R 4.1.0 as your minimum version to take advantage of modern syntax (like the native pipe) while remaining compatible with most users.

If you are in a "Validated" industry (e.g., Clinical Trials): You may still find yourself using R 3.6.3, though the industry is aggressively moving toward 4.2+ for better performance and UTF-8 support on Windows.

If you are a student/casual user: You should stay on the latest version (4.4.x or 4.5.x), as there is rarely a reason to use older versions for new learning.
