Support for Kubernetes Gateway HTTPRoute

Instead of exposing the service using an Ingress, it would be nice to have support for exposing it using a HTTPRoute.

No real priority here, because Google Cloud doesn't support Cloud CDN yet in combination with K8s Gateway, but eventually Gateway is going to replace Ingress.

With ingress-nginx depreciated, I'd say this is becoming more urgent now. Would you accept a PR?

+1 This has come up on our team too, since we're in the process of migrating from ingress-nginx to Gateway API.

I don't think it should be too difficult to offer HTTPRoute as an option, but we should aim to maintain ingress-nginx as well for those who aren't ready to migrate just yet.

@violuke Did you manage to run this service using an HTTPRoute? If so, would you be willing to share a snippet?

Happy to submit a PR as well, at least to add some pointers in the README, since I will be doing this work in the coming days.

We've not yet implemented this. We had a number of dependencies that didn't support the Gateway API, so we switched to Traefik Ingress (to get off ingress-nginx more quickly), with a view to migrating to the Gateway API gradually as and when packages support it, or we have more time to contribute solutions to open source packages like this.
