Motivation 🏁

I found OpenSourceLabs while browsing for open-source prototyping tools written in VueJS, and their project Overvue is very impressive. They have a live playground on their website.

We should reach out to Open Source Labs and discuss how we could help each other out because we share a common mission.

Implementation Details 🛠️

• Offer them help in setting up donation infrastructure to get up sponsors or OpenCollective

• Ask them which what their roadmap looks like and if they can accommodate students

• Discuss how their projects like Docketeer and Chronos can help us

Impact 💥

If we have a partner with a prototyping tool that uses Vue.js, we can make lots of progress in developing MVP prototypes for our applications.

Hello OpenSourceLabs,

My name is Arsala, and I am the founder of Grey Software. We are a not-for-profit organization that empowers students to build open-source software for their communities and societies. https://grey.software

I have a number of app ideas for student projects, and I was looking around for a prototyping tool that could accommodate our budget and open-source nature better than Figma. Since we write most of our apps in VueJS, I thought Overvue would be the perfect prototyping tool for my team to use.

Furthermore, I think our collaboration can extend beyond my team using Overvue, and I would like to offer your organization help by:

1. Offering development help by connecting interested students with your open-source maintainers. Our organization is moving towards a formal model such as the one provided by MLH and the Linux Foundation. Still, at the moment, we have found some success providing students with a platform to view projects, and documented guidance on how to contribute, including Github issues that read like university assignments.

2. Helping you set up your donation infrastructure by providing the financial infrastructure as a host collective on OpenCollective, or answering any questions you have about the process of getting Paypal or Github Sponsors setup.
