Summary
I'm encountering an intermittent issue with Play Asset Delivery using Unity. A fast-follow asset pack (battlebackgrounds) sometimes fails to load with the error BundleUnavailable, even though:
- The app is installed from Google Play (
com.android.vending)
- The asset pack is correctly defined and set to fast-follow
- The AAB is properly structured and builds without error
- The asset works on other devices
- It eventually works again without changes, making this seem like a backend delivery issue
Environment
- Unity version: 2022.3.42f1
- PAD version: 1.9.5
- Delivery type: Fast-Follow
- Track: Internal Testing (but also verified in Production)
- Device: Huawei CMR-AL09 (Android 9). Happens on Pixel 7 Pro as well.
- Installer:
com.android.vending (Google Play Store)
- Internet: Stable, Wifi.
- Tested on other devices: Yes. It happens on other devices as well. Like Pixel 7 Pro for example.
Note: This happens both on internal testing track and in live/production releases.
Is this a known issue with fast-follow delivery timing or caching in PAD? Are there any recommended strategies for handling this kind of intermittent failure?
