It happens quite a lot that I hear the notification sound, open the menu, only to see very old notifications with stale date distances.
For example, this one: 
It is from Friday, March 6th. But was rendered as new today:

Intermittent.
- hear notification
- open menu
- "new" notification is very old one, but the distance date saying that it happened minutes ago.
