The old 'ghcs' command

I'm really frustrated that the new CLI cannot do the simplest and useful command I've been using in my everyday work:

• $ ghcs show me the version of my system
• $ ghcs list all files that contain the word abcd

and several other CLI help for using bash without having to remember all the flags I need to use to make an rsync from X to Y...

I know that now we can use 'copilot -p "do some stuff"', but it is not the same thing. It takes forever to give the answer, and well, it is different. Am I missing something, or has Copilot CLI removed this feature?

Definitely leave those a 👍 if you haven't already!

In my own daily use, I have an alias set to copilot -p "my input here" to accomplish the same task. Now that we have smaller models, like Haiku 4.5 and GPT-5-Mini, you may find the speed improved to using a beefier model like Sonnet 4.5! You can trigger a different model non-interactively with copilot --model <model>
