How should multiple projects run Copilot CLI

As shown in the figure, there are two projects under the Next directory, the frontend and the backend. Would it be better to run Copilot directly under the Next directory,

or to run it under Frontend and then add the Api project directory via /add-dir?

1. What is the best practice for Copilot CLI in multi-project scenarios?

2. It seems that /add-dir is different from Claude Code—it’s not persistently stored and needs to be re-added every time.

Personally, in cases like these, I would run copilot in the Next directory where it can easily descend into Api and Frontend as needed.

On /add-dir's persistence: You can add a directory on every launch with copilot --add-dir /path/to/directory, you may consider setting up an alias to launch it for this particular multi-directory project!
