Same experience here. Modifying ~/.inputrc and ~/.minttyrc had no effect.

After upgrading, I encountered the same issue. It seems that the Visual Bell feature has been enabled by default.

I added set bell-style audible to ~/.inputrc, and successfully disabled the feature.

Was changing the default value of Visual Bell during the upgrade intentional?
