Support for Visual Studio 2026

Visual Studio 2026 does not work on this project because it requires the Windows 10 SDK, which is out of support.

I request that support for Visual Studio 2026 be looked into by either retargeting to the Windows 11 SDK or a workaround, because it makes contributing harder for me by requiring both VS 2022 and 2026 to be installed on my machine. Note that VS 2022 Community is no longer downloadable, and I am using VS Professional 2022, which requires a license and only has a 30-day trial.

I’m using Visual Studio 2026 and haven’t encountered any issues. I don’t have VS2022 installed.
I think it might be too early to drop support for 19041, as many components, like CommunityToolkit, are still relying on it.

After some experimentation I've found you can use VS 2026 as long as you have the Windows 10 SDK installed but you can't install it from VS 2026 and need to use VS 2022 to install the SDK.

I'll see if installing from the downloads page you linked works but VS 2026 doesn't work on both my desktop and laptop unless you do other steps to install the Windows 10 SDK.

it should work because i am using this way and i dont have any vs2022. let me know if you have any issues or not.
