All the files are about a decade old.

And now that I am writing here:
I see two PDFs - are those the final book? I'd love to have a ePub - a somewhat recent one.

Hi, the files might be old but should still work as they are and also should suffice as an entry point to the engine and games programming as a whole. Once the new mayor version of Panda3D gets released, I think about writing a new version of the book. I also don't know of any other Books for recent versions of the engine, so I guess this is still the best you could get at the moment if you want a book. There are indeed other tutorials in different forms out there written by other community members.

Regarding the PDF, it's intended to start reading the book Panda3D Tutorial.pdf first before you start coding or look at the source code of the sample game since all the things done there are explained in the PDF.

My other book about creating 3D models using blender might be a bit more out of date since blender has a faster development and changes more often but I sadly won't have time to update it in the near future.

Regarding an ePub version, that could be exported from the odt file in this repository using Libre Office. I've never used ePub files and also don't know much about them yet. It seems there are some options to choose while exporting so, if you could give me some more details about your intention where to use them, I could easily create one for you or alternatively you export it yourself.

I opened the .odt - it is indeed rather trivial to export that as an ePub - but it showed python code instead. Trying again later did work well (showing nothing, but allowing the .odt to be downloaded), though.

So I am happy with two ePubs now - and saw on your main page that you have even more resources. Thank you for the work you put in this!
