Create Custom Pawns

I have another suggestion! How about the ability to create completely new pawns that can be spawned with the faction?

Thanks for making a ticket but I don’t think this one is viable, I’ll leave it open and consider in more detail but there are literally hundreds of settings you’d need to set just to have it work at all. The UI would be gargantuan and probably hundreds of hours of work at least. It might be possible to let you clone an existing one and edit the clone I suppose but that can still be risky I think. What’s the real value of this over what we already have? Because you can add any existing pawn kind into any faction through the new groups system and then edit that, I don’t think offering a clone then edit is actually different to just adding any old random unused pawnkind and editing it. Keep in mind even if you do add more pawnkinds they won’t ever spawn or be used unless they’re added to a spawn group anyway so I’m not sure you’re gaining much if anything over the existing setup?

Well, it’s to add more variety to my enemies. I installed a few armor and weapons mods for the Fallen Empire, but it seems there’s no way to include that. For example, they have elite troopers pawnkind, so all I did was give them all prestige gear. But there’s no elite versions of cataphract troopers. If I could make a new pawnkind or clone the regular cataphract trooper, I can make the elite prestige variant of that trooper! Hell, I can even make an entire cavalry unit! Yeah but I’m saying you can already do that. Just add idk a pirate to the faction via the spawn groups then edit the pirate to be essentially the same as a cataphract. Effectively the same result without it being borderline impossible to make work
