Proposal: Convert EverShop to TypeScript

Hey everyone,

I’d like to start a discussion about converting EverShop from JavaScript to TypeScript. TypeScript offers several benefits, including better type safety, improved developer experience, and enhanced maintainability.

Why Consider TypeScript?

• Type Safety: Helps catch errors at compile time rather than runtime.
• Improved Developer Experience: Better IntelliSense support and easier debugging.
• Scalability: Easier to manage as the codebase grows.
• Stronger Code Maintainability: Enforces stricter typing, making collaboration more efficient.

Potential Challenges

• Migration effort—gradually converting existing code.
• Learning curve for contributors unfamiliar with TypeScript.
• Possible adjustments in build and tooling setup.

Suggested Approach
We could migrate the codebase incrementally, starting with core modules and gradually refactoring the rest.
