Broadcaster with multiple kafka brokers

Hey all,

I want to ask how is the intented way to use broadcaster with multiple kafka brookers working at the same time.

I give you an example:
Let's say I have three kafka brookers ["localhost:9092", "localhost:9093", "localhost:9094"]

How should I initilize the Broadcaster object?
I've tried:

from broadcaster import Broadcast
Broadcast(f"kafka://localhost:9092;kafka://localhost:9093;kafka://localhost:9094")

but it gives an Starlette error:
ValueError: invalid literal for int() with base 10: ''

I've also tried this:

from broadcaster import Broadcast
from broadcaster._backends.kafka import KafkaBackend
Broadcast(backend=KafkaBackend(urls=["localhost:9092", "localhost:9093" "localhost:9094"]))

which seems to work but I don't think this is the intended way of doing this (because of the import)?

Is there any other way to do this?

This one is correct. Imports are not private, you likely use older version.

Lastest version you have available in pypi is v3.0.1 (which uses private imports)

Anyway that works, with the exception that you have to add the url prefix (http/s):
Broadcast(backend=KafkaBackend(urls=["http://localhost:9092", "http://localhost:9093" "http://localhost:9094"]))
for any url different than localhost (and just because it's a default value).

This is due to:
self._servers = [urlparse(url).netloc for url in urls]
in backends/kafka.py
