Every year we have Worldcon and we have similar challenges to solve. The current model seems to be that every conference organises their own code. A better model would be to create a Worldcon organisation and try to bring everyone in to sovle the same problem.
However, Worldcon is currently taken. I've registered as a placeholder @wsfc but most people know the con by the Worldcon handle.
