[BUG] -v option not working as expected in windows Git Bash

Description

In my Windows 11 Pro 24H2 the CLI command docker run -it --name ub -v ./work-folder:/etc/app/workFolder ubuntu bash is working on any other terminals like powershell/cmd/Ubuntu (wsl) but behaving abnormal while executed in Git Bash.

Executing the command in Git Bash:

• Creates a folder named work-folder;C in current working dir of host machine
• Mounts the dir named \Program Files\Git\etc\app\workFolder but in root dir of the container machine

Steps To Reproduce

1. In Windows 11 Pro 24H2 with Git Bash and docker desktop installed
2. Open any dir and open Git Bash in it
3. run the docker CLI command docker run -it --name ub -v ./work-folder:/etc/app/workFolder ubuntu bash in Git Bash
4. You will see the folder named work-folder;C is created in current working dir and mounted the folder in root dir of container named '\Program Files\Git\etc\app\workFolder'

Anything else?

Tried this configuration also with docker-compose.yaml but didn't work.

you can set MSYS_NO_PATHCONV=1 so git bash doesn't try to be helpful converting Unix-style paths for windows
