Not behaving properly in CLI-mode

I am using jb-style 'mid'

In the above photo i am using Ubuntu CLI-mode and look at the auto-completion suggestions.. it's not visible.

In the above photo, in the desktop mode.. everything seems to work just fine.

The above picture is again in CLI-mode but using the default vim 'slate' color scheme. It seems working fine

Nothing is invisible there..

Your code may have some bugs.. kindly fix that.

Hey, good spot - it might be that the color group being used for the virtual text isn't correctly set when in non-truecolour terminals? Although it was my understanding that autocompletion suggestions used the PMenu highlight group, which is all set in this color scheme:

I wonder if you might be able to do one of the following:

Either run :so $VIMRUNTIME/syntax/hitest.vim in CLI mode with vim-jb and again with slate and see if you can identify which color group it is that's invisible in the case of vim-jb (it's output looks like the above screenshot, and I'm guessing there'll be one that you can see in the case of the slate color scheme that is invisible in the jb scheme)

Or add the following to your vimrc:

function! SynGroup()
    let l:s = synID(line('.'), col('.'), 1)
    echo synIDattr(l:s, 'name') . ' -> ' . synIDattr(synIDtrans(l:s), 'name')
endfun

Then in your vim instance, highlight the autocompletion text and run that function.

Both methods should yield you the name of the highlight group, then once I know what the highlight group is that governs the look of the autocompletion suggestions I can make sure it being set properly.

I have added that piece of code in my .vimrc but how do i highlight the auto-completion text and run that function??

I am a new vim user and know very few about vim.

Running the function is done via command mode (so :call SynGroup()) - and I'd assume you'd highlight it just with your cursor. If it doesn't seem like it's highlight-able then maybe :so $VIMRUNTIME/syntax/hitest.vim and comparing is the better bet? Apologies I can't do it myself, I haven't got an ubuntu machine!
