What's for dinner? #54
Description
In the food channel we do a thing where people share what they're having/making for dinner/breakfast/lunch. The format is like
wfd: roasted sweet potatoes with plum sauce
I want the bot to record these posts as they happen. I should then be able to ask like
@bot what's for dinner?
And it picks one at random.
Some notes:
- it should keep separate lists for dinner, lunch, and breakfast. Brunch is an alias for breakfast (fight me)
- the format it listens for should be case insensitive and just look for messages starting with
wf[bld]\b. Most people put a:on there but it's optional - when asking for a suggestion we should use a pretty flexible regex. I can help with this.
- i would like it to track pictures as well. See in #food how sometimes we will post a picture with a wfd caption. This is a stretch goal.
- i can provide a dump of every message/picture ever sent to #food so we can prime the database
- it's not necessary to only listen in certain channels
