Feature request: Url / github sync

Have you thought about adding support for auto syncing files from a url or similar? In that way we could just press a button in the plugin to sync from a certain URL or GitHub repo. No need to choose files etc.

Yes, GitHub / URL-based syncing is definitely the dream scenario for this plugin and something I’d love to support. Being able to just hit “sync” from a repo or URL would be ideal.

For now though, due to time and capacity limitations, the plugin only supports syncing via file/folder uploads. I want to keep it stable and maintainable rather than half-shipping a GitHub integration.

That said, Framer recently released their Server API in beta, which is a really exciting step. Once that matures, it should be possible to push code to Framer directly from a server or CI pipeline, without even opening the plugin. That approach will likely be much more powerful than a traditional GitHub sync inside the plugin itself.

Appreciate the suggestion and the interest, it’s very much aligned with where I’d like this to go long-term.
