Upgrade from 2.6.0 to 2.9.0

Hello,
We are planning to Upgrade Data dot all from v2.6.0 to 2.9.0. can it be upgraded directly to 2.9.0 from 2.6.0 or it has to be sequential from 2.6.0 -> 2.7.0 -> 2.8.0 -> 2.9.0.
Any other notes or reference link related to this upgrade would be helpful

I assume alembic scripts will fail for direct jump

We haven't tried this but I think it should work, alembic migrations should take care of the DB part, what's more trick is any assumptions on the environment stacks.
