Is this project still developed truely open source?

Hello,

I noticed that the GitHub tags and commits lag behind those in Pypi, which made me a bit suspicious when I considered using this software. Could you please sync the GitHub tags to Pypi?

Hi, everything has now been synced, and the relevant branches have been merged into the main.
We definitely do want this project to be developed as open source, but are scientist with many other responsibilities as well.

Thanks for commenting, and please excuse me for being suspicious. Usually most open source projects use GitHub to also post packages in pypi, in a GitHub workflow.

BTW a big downside for us of GH repo and pypi source unsynced, is the fact I can't merge my patch upon the v1.0.6 Pypi source tarball. I don't know which source lags behind, but this is indeed annoying, even now.

I'll have a look at using a github workflow for pushing to pypi. Sounds like a better way of doing this!

I have for now still used the manual approach and pushed to pypi. Version 1.0.7
