App doesn't seem to work under macOS 10.12.2

Now that Apple has removed the time remaining calculation, I cannot get the app to work on my new MacBook Pro (late 2016)

It runs for me on 10.12.6, however here are no banner notifications and some misalignments regarding icon, which I have posted about in one of the other issues. I hope this gets fixed.
