Description
Is there an existing issue for this?
- I have searched the existing issues
OS/Web Information
- Web Browser: Chrome
- Local OS: Windows
- Remote OS: Ubuntu
- Remote Architecture: amd64
code-server --version: 1.109.2
Steps to Reproduce
- Run code-server 1.109.2 in the browser.
- Manually install the GitHub Copilot Chat VSIX (version 0.37.9).
- Sign in and enable Copilot Chat.
- Compare the bottom-right Copilot/status button behavior with official VS Code.
- In official VS Code, the button shows/supports features such as
SteerandQueued. - In code-server, those options/features do not appear.
Expected
GitHub Copilot Chat should provide the same bottom-right status button features in code-server as in official VS Code, including support for Steer and Queued, or the limitation should be documented clearly if those features are unsupported in code-server.
Actual
The first screenshot shows my code-server setup with the Copilot Chat extension installed.
The second screenshot shows that Copilot Chat is usable in code-server.
The third screenshot shows native Visual Studio Code, where Copilot Chat supports queued messages while a response is still being generated.
