OS/Web Information

  • Web Browser: Chrome
  • Local OS: Windows
  • Remote OS: Ubuntu
  • Remote Architecture: amd64
  • code-server --version: 1.109.2

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Run code-server 1.109.2 in the browser.
  2. Manually install the GitHub Copilot Chat VSIX (version 0.37.9).
  3. Sign in and enable Copilot Chat.
  4. Compare the bottom-right Copilot/status button behavior with official VS Code.
  5. In official VS Code, the button shows/supports features such as Steer and Queued.
  6. In code-server, those options/features do not appear.

Expected

GitHub Copilot Chat should provide the same bottom-right status button features in code-server as in official VS Code, including support for Steer and Queued, or the limitation should be documented clearly if those features are unsupported in code-server.
