• Jonathan expressed frustration at how bad he is at testing Rails. Till and I could only offer moral support, we're bad at it too.

Auth service next steps

We decided to go for an approach with the least amount of surprise, so deploy everything in Heroku, which should be familiar to anyone doing maintenance on codebar/planner.

• Configure auth/auth to run on Postgres
• Configure a new Heroku Basic Dyno - max $7/month.
• Add a Postgres database to the dyno - Borealis Isolated Postgres looks good - max $4/month
• Add logs and telemetry add-on
• Use auth/auth as codebar-auth, so it'll be known as codebar-auth-production and codebar-auth-staging in Heroku
• Deploy codebar-auth to its staging and production environments
• Configure DNS
