v3.0.1 Ionic Released

The third major release of Codev is out. Codename: Ionic — continuing the architecture-themed naming sequence (Bauhaus → Cordoba → Eichler → Gothic → Hagia Sophia → Ionic).

Three headlines

1. VS Code Extension

A first-class IDE companion alongside the browser Tower UI, with Tower view, Backlog, Team view, and builder terminal access. Available now on the Marketplace (currently pre-release while awaiting Marketplace publisher approval).

2. Flexibility & Customizability

• Pluggable forges: GitHub, Gitea, GitLab — pick your provider per project
• Pluggable harnesses: Claude, Codex, Gemini, OpenCode — mix and match
• Per-stage consults: each protocol phase can pick its own reviewers ("Claude writes, Codex reviews")

3. Teams (the start of Sphere 7)

• Teams tab with GitHub activity, member cards, and review-blocking surfaces
• Multi-PR builders: builders can open draft PRs mid-flight to share specs/plans for review without waiting for completion
• Standalone team CLI

Install

VS Code extension:

code --install-extension cluesmith.codev-vscode --pre-release

Notes

• v3.0.0 was published briefly with a corrupted manifest (the @cluesmith/codev-core workspace dependency was dropped) and has been deprecated on npm. Use v3.0.1.
• TICK protocol has been removed — multi-PR builders make it unnecessary
• af CLI renamed to afx (alias preserved)
