Following a vote conducted by the maintainer group via private email between 13 and 22 May 2026, Jonathan Gonzalez is transitioning to Emeritus Maintainer status.

Result: 5/5 votes cast in favour, exceeding the ⅔ majority of all maintainers required by the governance document (4 votes needed out of 6).

Jonathan has made genuine and valued contributions to CloudNativePG, particularly in supply-chain security, CI/CD hygiene, and OpenSSF compliance. We are grateful for that work. Jonathan will remain a component owner for those areas.

Should Jonathan wish to return as a maintainer in the future, any maintainer may propose his reinstatement.

• Update MAINTAINERS.md to move Jonathan Gonzalez to the Emeritus Maintainers section
• Remove Jonathan Gonzalez from the relevant GitHub teams (maintainers and admins)
• Update SECURITY-INSIGHTS.yaml to reflect the change
