Alert not showing in Angular-Nativescript

First I saw this in README:
files and change app version in android app.gradle
Should it be AndroidManifest.xml file because there we change version for android?

I tried this pkg in my project but not working:

added:

StoreUpdate.init({
    majorUpdateAlertType: AlertTypesConstants.OPTION,
    notifyNbDaysAfterRelease: 0,
    alertOptions: {
        title: 'Attention please',
        message: 'Your app is out of date',
    },
});

in main.ts

after that update version in AndroidManifest.xml

from
android:versionCode="5"
android:versionName="2.0.3">

to
android:versionCode="6"
android:versionName="3.0.3">

but alert not rising. Is this still working?

Wouldn't you have to set your version to an older version to get it to tell you a newer version is available? However, I too have not been able to get this plugin to work.
