Display image with kitty protocol

Hello,
Would it be possible in anyway to display images in a selection ? I have several image and I would like to make a choose that display the image instead of the name of the file. Is it something possible ? Maybe in combination with something else

This is in the works in our internal tooling, but we have no time frame for it yet.
