There should be a visual indicator that we are successfully connected to Ethos #7
Description
It would be nice to quickly see that we are successfully connecting and authenticating to Ethos prior to attempting the API request. Maybe it is a little red/green light sort of indicator. This could also help demonstrate that our API key is valid and indicate whether we need to fix it.
